Pentecost Day 

1) Crowds of Jews were in Jerusalem to celebrate an ancient Jewish festival

2) the feast was called pentecost because it  also meant fifty days after passover 

3) The people came from all parts of the Roman empire.

4) the people thought the apostles had drunk too much wine.

5) the apostles  were filled with the Gift of the holy spirit 

6) The gifts of the holy spirit filled them with strength to carry on Jesus' work.

Before you go beware of your steps, stay on this path, ok mother said Jack. He kissed his mum goodbye and started his journey through the dark woods. While he was in the woods a  hungry lion said morning boy. Jack said it back. The lion said what's in that bag. Jack opened the bag, inside was bread, honey and lots of other things.The lion licked his whiskers mmm said the lion. He told Jack to give a flower to the lion pointing at the roses. Okay said Jack and ran to get one. The lion ran to grandma's house. The lion tapped two times. Who is it? said grandma from her cosy bed. It's me Jack l have brought you a basket of food said the lion in a creaking voice. l am sick said the lion.   Open the latch and come in, grandma said. The lion came in and ate Grandma up. Then dressed up as Grandma. Then Jack came to the door. Who is it? Said the lion, it's me Jack. Come in and then she opened the door and then the lion jumped up and tried to eat Jack but the woodcutter came and put an axe in the lion's back. Then Jack remembered that to not talk to anyone he doesn't know.

She said if I enjoyed the book and who was my favourite character. I enjoy the book because it is funny and my favourite characters are George and Harold.

 Today for religious education my teacher asked the class to Match the sentences with the correct answers.   

1. Mary was filled with the Holy Spirit at the birth of Jesus and at the birth of the church.

3. Mary was a teacher, friend and advisor to the apostles and disciples.

4. The Pentecost story in acts is the last mention of Mary in the scripture.

A zoo keeper took them to lots of other monkeys, the zookeeper's name was Chungus. He is working very very well so he can get  well paid.   The next morning Chungus went to feed the new monkeys but they were gone. Chungus ran to tell his boss Sarah she was very very sad because she was going to give her son the new monkeys for his birthday. She tried to look for a monkey suit but nothing. She looked everywhere but nothing. She tried to get a Monkey cake but still nothing. Then Chungus said I think boss tried your best but it's okay to not get what you want.

20 minutes Work on  Writing. Click here for the writing prompts	Expressive Writing: Choose any topic to write about. Or write a Poem  One morning at 8:00 Jack and Mary, Jack's mum went to the playground. When they got there Jack's mother went to unbuckle his seatbelt but Jack was so excited that he was already outside. Jack's mother sat down on the grass to keep a l on him. Jack's mother looked up to see if Jack was lost but Jack was on the grass looking for something. Jack's mother didn't know what Jack was looking for. When Jack went to his mum she looked at him. Jack gave his mum a flower. The mum said thank you for the white and yellow shiny sunflower.

Dragons! Dragons! Dragons!

Today for literacy we had to read 4 online stories and choose one to write about.  Here is the book I choose.

Dragons! Dragons! Dragons! 

Once  there were four dragons: a red ,yellow, blue and green. The four dragons lived in a dark cave. All of them were sad they had no friends. So they went to town to find some friends but everyone was afraid of them. First they went to the markets everyone dropped their stuff and ran no friends here said the blue water dragon. So they went to the skate park. All the children fell off their bikes and scooters but they still got up and ran away. No friends here said the green grass dragon. So they went to the last stop that was the Camping site the people were going to run but the dragons shooted fire at the Sausages the people were so surprised because the dragons were cooking the sausages and they were not scared and became friends with the dragons.

Jon went to tv One so he can watch home and away but home and away was finished. The news was    On because it was 6:00pm. The lady on the news said a boomer bombed a lady house. She Only had six sons one of the sons was 5 years old, the other son was 10 years old. We don't know all the other boys' names but all of the lady's sons died. The police are trying their best to Find the dead bodies.

The Last Message From Jesus to his Disciples

WALT:Identify ascension as the time when Jesus sent his disciples to bring the good news of the gospel to all creation

1. Jesus prepared his disciples to go and share his message of love with the world.

2. We are the disciples of Jesus who have to spread the Good news with all creation today.

3. It is through the power of the Holy Spirit that people bring the Good news to others.

4. The Good news brings people hope during hard times in their lives.

5. The Good news for creation means taking care of every part of it.
